KUTZTWON ART TOUR OPEN STUDIOS

From Friday, April 21st to Saturday, April 22nd the Kutztown Art Tour will be hosting open studios from noon to 5:00 p.m. Visiting the open studios is free of charge for all attendees and will feature local artists, Jeff Dietrich, Marilyn Fox, Jan Crooker, and Kevin McCloskey. These local artists have been, and continue to be, an integral element to Kutztown’s art community, with each offering their own stunningly unique artistic style.

Local potter, Jeff Dietrich, is known for his exquisite stoneware and redware pottery available at his place of business, Loghouse Pottery (301 West Walnut Street). Marilyn Fox creates abstract, impasto-inspired paintings that emphasize the use of layers and expressive brushwork which will be available to view at 447 Normal Ave on both Friday and Saturday. Jan Crooker is known for her impressionist painting style that engages with perspective, bright color schemes, and images of daily life which will all be available to view at 463 West Main Street. Former Kutztown University art professor, author, and illustrator, Kevin McCloskey will host his open studio at 305 Trexler Ave. on Friday and Saturday and display a range of his children’s toon books.

Please come support and engage with Kutztown’s distinguished local artists this weekend. Again, attendance is free of charge to the Kutztown Art Tour as well as at each artist’s open studios.
