Education

Education is one of the fundamental pillars of the Kutztown Borough, boasting both a high-performing school district and world-class university. Kutztown Area School District serves more than 1,300 local students and was recently recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the state of PA. In addition, KASD recently placed 7th on the annual AP District Honor Roll, which recognizes schools throughout the US and Canada who provide increased access to AP courses and maintaining high testing scores.

Similarly, Kutztown University offers over 130 undergraduate programs in their Colleges of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Visual and Performing Arts, Business, and Education. There are also 31 graduate areas of study, including two doctoral programs. An honors program, study abroad, internships, student/faculty research and experiential learning communities round out the academic experience.

"We proudly serve the residents of the Kutztown Borough. Here in Kutztown Area School District we are very proud of our students, staff, and community."
